I need to seek God first, for me, that means a quiet time at the beginning of every day, which includes prayer and Scripture, and a time to ask God what His priorities are for the day. It’s hard to prioritize, and sometimes I feel like I’m in over my head. It’s easy to lose track of what and when things need to be done. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?īut seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. Just knowing that I can take my heavy, weary soul to God and lean on Him to give me rest is so comforting, and empowering! When I am trying to do everything on my own, when I am so tired, when I just need a break, I remember this verse, take a deep breath, and then read my Bible and pray. This one was important for me to memorize. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.Ĭome unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Memorizing this verse allows it to be right at the ready when needed.Ī new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
